Since I'm often asked about the name of the blog: I didn't just come up with it because it sounded nice, though I do love a good display of alliteration! The name actually came from combining two symbols that capture much of what this blog is about. The pineapple has a longstanding history dating back to Colonial days as a symbol of hospitality and welcome. Pearls are, of course, a timeless style icon and have been worn by many of fashion's most impeccably dressed women including Jackie O. and Audrey Hepburn.
Now back to a bit about me: raised in Richmond, educated in Charlottesville, and now living in Washington, DC, I have always done my best to make the world around me prettier.
My style is a mix of timeless motifs, modern silhouettes, and bold patterns. Join me as I share my favorite style and beauty finds, home and decor ideas, delicious recipes, and travel stories, all with a focus on classic style and colorful living.
And if you want to break it down to a few of my favorite things—I love bright colors, writing, stripes, the south, animal print, UVA football, bourbon (on the rocks, splash of water), cooking, interior design, and skipping town on the weekend.
