Drugstore Favorites, The Basics

Today's post is the first in a three part series featuring my favorite budget friendly beauty buys. While I am all for splurging on beauty products and trying out the latest new creams and potions, sometimes you just want reliable products that you can pick up at the CVS around the corner. These products are the ones you'll reach for each and every day because you know they'll get the job done and won't break the bank.

I always have a tin of the Nivea Creme in my purse. It's the tiniest little hand lotion, but it's super thick so the tin will last you forever. Burt's Bees lip balm is a classic that is still the absolute my best. My lips get terribly chapped this time of year and Burt's Bees is the only thing I can rely on to offer relief. Speaking of cold weather and dry skin, the combo of Jergens Ultra Healing Lotion with Aquaphor Healing Ointment keeps my skin feeling soft year round. I use the Jergens all over every single day and the Aquaphor just where needed, particularly on my feet and hands.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion is simple and light, perfect for using whenever I'm feeling low maintenance. Since I almost always do my own nails, Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream is an essential for keeping my nails neat and moisturized. Lastly, because it can't hurt to get all the nutrients one can, I take Hair, Skin, and Nails vitamins every day. I know it's better to get nutrients through good, and I try to, but I figure a little added help is a good thing.

If you don't feel like making a run to your local drugstore, you can shop the products mentioned using the links below. What are your favorite drugstore basics? Any I should definitely try out?
