Pantene Holiday Hair Ideas

After a bit of a camera debacle, I finally have my favorite holiday hair looks for you! They are filtered iphone pictures, so bear with me, but I think you'll get the idea.

Pantene sent me a variety of their products (which you can win here!) and I've spent the past week trying out all the different products. My hair is stick straight naturally, so if I want any sort of body, I have to resort to blowing it out every day. These products, including shampoo and conditioner from the Heat Shield Collection, are perfect for keeping my hair shiny and healthy even when it's 30 degrees outside and my hair has seen far too much time beneath the blow dryer and curling iron.

These are the four products that I have found myself truly using on a daily basis (besides the shampoo, conditioner, and hair spray, of course!). The Volume Root Lifting Spray Gel, the Keragloss Oil Mist, Triple Action Volume Mousse, and Heat Protection Spray.

Using these four products, I created two super simple holiday looks that will take you from day to night. I started by using both the Root Lifting Spray Gel and the Triple Action Mousse while my hair was wet, right out of the shower. I let it air dry for about half an hour (do your make-up, have a cup of coffee), and then sprayed it with the Heat Protection spray and just lightly sprayed just the ends with the Keragloss Oil Mist, which smells amazing!

I blow dried my hair upside down until it was about 90% dry and then used a round brush to give it even more volume as I dried it completely. I then used a 1.5" barrel curling iron to create loose curls. I usually split my hair into three sections as I curl, though you can probably get away with two if you don't have a ton of hair (it's both a blessing and a curse.) After each section, I sprayed it with the Extra Strong Shaping Hair Spray, and then again after I finished everything.

I then ran the round brush through it just to soften the curls, took two bobby pins to pin just a small section back behind my ear, and then pinned a rhinestone brooch right on top of the bobby pins. This look is perfect for dressing up a casual sweater and leggings with just a bit of bling.

I wanted this style to be able to transition to evening without having to completely redo my hair, straighten it, or re-curl it. Luckily, since curled hair actually makes for an easier updo because it has more grip, this wasn't a hard task at all.

I refreshed my hair a bit with another spray of Extra Strong Shaping Spray. Let it set for a minute and then just ran the round brush over the top layer of my hair, leaving a bit of texture underneath. I then twisted it back on each side, grabbing sections as I made my way around my head and pulled it back into a ponytail and secured with a hairband. I then used two spin pins to twist my hair into a low bun, bobby pinning where necessary (short hair with layers has presented all sorts of difficulties with buns that this long haired girl wasn't used to!)

Once my hair was in this twisted low bun, I took a glittery headband and set it on my head right behind the twist to create a sort of crown effect. This is such a sophisticated updo for evening and so, so easy to create.

Thanks to Pantene for sending me these fabulous products! I am seriously hooked on all of them to keep my hair looking healthy and full of body, even while I may be overdoing the heat styling...
