Blogger Cocktail Party Recap

Last week attended a Blogger cocktail party hosted by Ashley in DC and The Fashionably Broke. It was, of course, wonderful to catch up with other bloggers, but the best part was a Q&A session they did halfway through the night. It was so helpful to learn more about partnering with brands and blog branding and design. I found myself typing notes on my phone as quickly as I possibly could with the names of websites to learn more about design and graphics. I've already put a few of the tips and tricks to use - it's so much better to learn from someone that is an expert in their field than to do my usual google search/try to figure out editing HTML all on my own!

Do any other bloggers out there have recommendations for great websites or books? Are there any other DC blogger events coming up that I should know about? Let me know in the comments!

This is the Issa for Banana Republic dress I lusted after forever and finally found months later - this print is no longer online but the same style is here
The sparkly earrings are Amrita Singh from Rue La La, but you can find the same ones here. Bracelet is J.Crew, similar here.

  1. W3schools.com is a really good way to learn about HTML, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn more about web design. Hope this helps!
